For businesses that received a notice

Your company's account has been placed for collection

This page explains what the notice means and the ways to resolve it.

Important: please respond promptly

Ironside Commercial Recovery is a commercial collection agency. A creditor of your business has placed a past-due account with us for collection. The notice you received identifies the creditor, the invoices and the balance.

Accounts are resolved fastest when the business responds within the time stated in the notice. You can pay in full, ask for a payment plan, or tell us why you believe the balance is not owed.

What happens if the account is not resolved

Collection follows a set sequence. Each later step happens only if the earlier one does not resolve the account, and legal action happens only if our client authorizes it.

  1. Placement. Our client has placed your company's past-due account with us. We have verified the business entity and the balance with our client.
  2. Demand and contact. You will receive written notices and calls from our collectors. This is the stage at which most accounts are resolved, in full or through a payment plan.
  3. Final notice. If the account remains unresolved, you will receive a final notice before we send our client a recommendation about legal action.
  4. Legal referral (if authorized). If our client authorizes it, the claim may be referred to an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction, who may file suit against the business.
  5. Judgment enforcement (if obtained). A court judgment can be enforced through the remedies state law allows, which may include bank levies, liens and garnishment of receivables.

Payment plans

If your business cannot pay the full balance at once, call us. We regularly agree written payment schedules, and an agreed plan that is kept on time stops further escalation.

If you believe the balance is wrong

Tell us in writing which invoices you dispute and why, and send any supporting documents. We review every dispute with our client and respond. Submit a dispute.

Our conduct

We collect commercial debts only, and we communicate truthfully and professionally. We do not discuss your account with your customers or suppliers. Read our conduct standards.
